Site-First SEO 1.0.5: Another Step Forward

Site First SEO plugin for WordPress
Site-First SEO helps you improve content quality and structure with on-site data

After months of work, countless revisions, and a growing community of users, we’re excited to announce that Site-First SEO version 1.0.5 is now live. This release represents more than just a version bump—it’s a reflection of steady progress, stability improvements, and our vision of making on-site SEO easier, faster, and more effective for everyone.

From Concept to Community Plugin

When I launched Site-First SEO into the WordPress Plugin Repository, the goal was simple: to replace multiple plugins with one streamlined toolkit. I wanted site owners and professionals to be able to manage their SEO with clarity, without bloat, and with modules that matter:

  • Dashboard & Visits for traffic insights
  • Headings & Images to clean up structure
  • Titles & Meta with a real-time SERP preview
  • Links Overview for internal linking clarity
  • Sitemaps & Robots.txt to keep crawlers in check
  • Redirects & 404s to fix leaks before they spread
  • Exports for data portability
  • Settings to tie it all together

Since that first approval, we’ve listened carefully to users, refined the interface, and patched issues quickly. Each revision has been a step closer to a stable, dependable SEO suite.

What’s New in 1.0.5

This release brings together updates and fixes that strengthen the foundation of Site-First SEO. Highlights include:

  • Stability improvements across modules, including Exports and Visits.
  • Cleaner installs: ensuring all files are present and properly tagged in SVN versions.
  • Bot Block updates: enhanced detection and better file handling to prevent missing dependencies.
  • Readme and metadata cleanup for improved compatibility with the WordPress.org repository.
  • Version control refinements: aligning trunk and tags so fresh installs get the correct, complete plugin every time.

These may sound like behind-the-scenes changes, but they mean fewer white screens, fewer missing files, and smoother performance for you.

Looking Back: The Road to 1.0.5

Each release has carried its own story:

  • 1.0.2 gave us a stable early build with proper module loading.
  • 1.0.3 & 1.0.4 brought fixes to Bot Block and file structure, keeping installs consistent.
  • Now with 1.0.5, I’m confident that Site-First SEO is not just feature-rich, but stable and production-ready for everyday use.

What’s Next

I’m not not slowing down. Coming soon in 1.0.6 and beyond:

  • Enhanced Visits logging and charts
  • Smarter Bot Block with deeper tracking and reporting
  • More Quick Wins to help guide your workflow
  • UI/UX refinements to make the dashboard even more intuitive and useful

The mission remains the same: to build the best all around SEO plugin for WordPress, one that saves you from loading a ton of other plugins.

Thank You
